PHARRELL & NIGO: A BROTHERHOOD AT LOUIS VUITTON FW25
What happens when two longtime friends, both cultural powerhouses, reunite under one of the world’s most prestigious fashion houses? The result is Pharrell Williams x Nigo for Louis Vuitton, a collection that feels more like a love letter than a mere collaboration, one that stitches together two decades of shared history, creative energy, and an undeniable impact on music, streetwear, and luxury fashion.

Nigo and Pharrel Williams.
The story of Pharrell Williams and Nigo began long before this collection. In the early 2000s, Pharrell was a rising force in music, redefining hip-hop and R&B with his futuristic beats, while Nigo had already made waves in the fashion world as the founder of A Bathing Ape (BAPE). The two were introduced by none other than Jacob the Jeweler, and their connection was immediate.
Pharrell’s first trip to Japan became a turning point. Nigo welcomed him into his archive, opening up a world where streetwear was more than clothing, it was identity, art, and expression. That meeting sparked the birth of Billionaire Boys Club and Icecream in 2003, a partnership that blurred the lines between music, street fashion, and high-end design.
Their creative synergy first intersected with Louis Vuitton in 2004, when they designed the Millionaire sunglasses under Marc Jacobs’ direction. From there, their collaborations never stopped, until now, when they finally co-designed a full collection for the house together.
A COLLECTION BUILT ON MEMORY & EVOLUTION
This collection is more than fashion; it’s a conversation between two friends, unfolding across fabrics, textures, and motifs that represent their journey. It brings together Pharrell’s vision of Louis Vuitton and Nigo’s deep-rooted Japanese influences, celebrating their past while embracing the present.

The show ended with an unexpected reveal. Throughout the runway, darkened vitrines had lined the space. As Pharrell and Nigo took their bows, the vitrines suddenly lit up, unveiling pieces from their personal collections, archival fashion, rare collectibles, and cultural artifacts from their decades-long careers.
These items will soon be available on Joopiter.com, Pharrell’s auction platform, offering collectors a chance to own a piece of this cultural legacy.
Reflecting on the moment, Nigo remarked:
Pharrell and I are both creators, but at the same time, we are also consumers.
-Nigo
That’s the beauty of this collaboration, it’s not just about creating something new but about celebrating everything that came before. This collection is a time capsule, a tribute, and a testament to a friendship that has shaped contemporary culture.
And as they’ve proven once again, some bonds only get stronger with time.
