MAX MARA RESORT 2026
For the unveiling of its 75th anniversary collection, Max Mara — under the creative direction of Ian Griffiths — chose the breathtaking Royal Palace of Caserta, just north of Naples, as its stage. Against a backdrop of baroque grandeur and the distant silhouette of Mount Vesuvius, an Italian daydream unfolded. It was a cinematic homage to the timeless allure of Sophia Loren, Silvana Mangano, and the golden age of 1950s and ’60s Italian cinema.
A refined palette of muted neutrals, deep black, soft rose, periwinkle, and navy set the tone for a collection where meticulous tailoring met quiet seduction. Signature looks included high-waisted short suits, bralettes styled under oversized blazers, and thigh-high boots that elevated even the most abbreviated silhouettes into something sculptural and poised.
The soundtrack for the show was a standout in itself. The runway featured an original score by Jennifer Rouse, whose pulsating, rhythmic composition beautifully underscored the collection’s blend of Neapolitan sensuality and baroque drama.
