ALBERTA FERRETTI’S LIGHTNESS OF BEING
As the sun went down under the colonnade of the Museo Nazionale Della Scienza e Della Tecnologia, the show started with impalpable weightless creations catching the soft evening breeze. The sense of lightness was highlighted by long flowing scarves floating around the models necks. Erotic qualities like delicate lace, garments cut high in the front and dropped low in the back, were balanced with an elegant touch, giving that ultimate feminine feel, evident in all of her dresses.
The looks that really got our attention were her chiffon numbers, angelic in white or more dramatic in black, with standout colors like orange in between. It’s been Ferretti’s signature all along, but in the middle of the major boho revival, she puts herself back in the fashion conversation once again.
