DAVID BOWIE’S MEMORABLE LOOKS

Born January 8th, 1947, as David Jones, Bowie’s meteoric rise to fame started with the single “Space Oddity” and plateaued with hit records like Ziggy Stardust, Hunky DoryAladdin Sane and so many more.

In honor of what would have been Bowie’s 77th birthday – the city of Paris celebrates the late British music icon David Bowie by naming a street after him in the city’s southeast – as we celebrate Bowie’s, ultimate style and impressive array of outfits over the years that reflected his eclectic personality in fashion, art and music.

Ziggy Stardust Glamour
Bowie’s alter ego, Ziggy Stardust, brought extraterrestrial style to Earth. Metallic jumpsuits, colorful lightning bolts, and striking makeup. A fusion of futurism and rock ‘n’ roll, these outfits screamed extravagance.

Thin White Duke Elegance
In the late ’70s, Bowie looked sleek and sophisticated as the Thin White Duke. Picture tailored suits, striped shirts, and glossy shoes. A minimalist yet powerful style reflecting his musical evolution.

Labyrinth Fantasy
For the 1986 film “Labyrinth,” Bowie brought an imaginative wardrobe to the screen. Snug leather pants, glittering tunics, and mysterious capes. A perfect blend of magic and fashion.

Casual Chic Bowie
Even in more everyday looks, Bowie exuded style. From fashionable trench coats to tailored suits with subtle details, his casual chic outfits were as impressive as his stage costumes.

David Bowie’s influence on the fashion world endures, and his ability to break boundaries and experiment with different styles remains an inspiration for contemporary fashion enthusiasts. His legacy in fashion is as timeless and versatile as his musical legacy.
