CELINE “SYMPHONIE FANTASTIQUE”
For the Winter ’24 presentation by Hedi Slimane, Celine took over the Mojave desert to show the latest menswear collection.
Celine-branded helicopters dropping off jukeboxes, which blasted “Symphonie Fantastique,” a 19th century psychedelic composition by Hector Berlioz. A motorcade of black 1960s Cadillacs on a desolate desert highway set the scene for his cinematic approach and made an epic runway. The dark mood and the almost all black, sharp tailored, collection still had a playful youthfulness to it, and was influenced by both rock ‘n roll and mid century cowboys.
